Leaving Benchmark

We're always sad to see a gymnast go — but we know that sometimes the time is right, whether it's a clash with other commitments, a house move, or simply a change of heart. When that happens, we just ask you to let us know properly so we can sort out your final payment fairly and free up the space for a child on our waiting list.

Here's everything you need to know.

How to leave

To leave Benchmark, fill in our online De-registration Form — there's a button at the bottom of this page. That form is the only way to officially let us know you're leaving (a quick word with a coach or an email doesn't start the process), so please make sure you submit it.

The date you submit the form decides how many more payments you'll make. That's the part parents tell us is confusing, so we've laid it out as plainly as we can below.

When's my last payment? Find your date.

Our fees come out on or around the 4th of each month. When you submit your form decides whether your next payment is your last one, or whether there's one more after that.

If you submit your form on the 1st–17th of the month:
The payment that's already due this month is your last one. You won't be charged again (as long as there are no outstanding fees).

If you submit your form on the 18th–end of the month:
You'll make one more payment next month, and then you're done. (The one exception: if that next month would be August, you won't be charged — we don't take fees in August.)

In both cases, your child is welcome to keep attending classes right up to the end of the month you've paid for. You don't lose anything you've paid for.

A quick example

Say it's September.

• Submit your form on the 5th September → your September payment is your last. Classes continue to the end of September.

• Submit your form on the 22nd September → you'll have one more payment in October. Classes continue to the end of October.

A couple of last things

• Any outstanding fees need to be settled before you leave.

• Once you've submitted the form, your notice period begins automatically and you'll be charged in line with the above.
