Streatham Preschool Classes

At Benchmark our Preschool classes are based around 'FUNdamentals' - a fun and exciting programme designed and developed by British Gymnastics, in conjunction with early years specialists, to help younger children from toddler to 6 years to acquire essential physical, social and emotional life skills.  The FUNdamentals program is organised around 16 themes, such as ‘seaside’ and ‘healthy eating’.  Each theme is usually delivered over 6 sessions for the duration of approximately 45 minutes.  The classes start with an interactive warm up with hand apparatus and a nursery rhyme.

During our Parent and Toddler classes, children and parents are transported into a world of adventure in which our qualified preschool coaches provide a safe, fun and stimulating environment for the parents and children to explore the different activities together.  The children have an opportunity to work on rolling, balancing, jumping and locomotor skills in order to enhance their development as well as essential bonding time with their adult!  The session finishes with a cooldown which includes parachute, bubbles and action songs!

Our coaches are very passionate about what they do and are on hand to help and assist with supporting techniques, teaching children gymnastic skills using appropriate progressions.  These classes are also designed to support the key learning and development areas set out in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.

PLEASE NOTE:  Your child must be walking confidently and unaided in order to participate fully in these sessions.

Cost

  • £40 per month (plus transaction fees)

  • £30 Annual Membership (plus transaction fees)

  • A taster session is £8.50 (plus transaction fees)

  • A sibling discount on monthly class fees is available on request
